The Inner Pilgrimage
Deep in a place of inner work and intentional ceremony, communing with the nature beings, making offerings, foraging, and medicine making. Continued devotion through tangible prayer. Gratitude.
We were so blessed by the sunshine, warm weather, and rainless days. And I could feel the land, the trees, and animals breathe with the welcomed rains and winds, helping to bring balance to our beautiful space in the Scottish Borders. Sacred balance.
The Rose Heart Temple and Tangible Prayer

Since the floods that ravaged the lands of my home in the U.S., I haven’t quite felt like myself. Uprooted like the millions of trees in the ancient mountains and forests of WNC. When I returned to visit the ravaged landscape, the land raped by waters and wind, the land and all she holds forever changed. Witnessing and feeling the continuous attacks on the collective womb, my own traumas have resurfaced. Moving through the energetics of pain, shame, loss, grief, disconnectedness. I’m tending to the traumas of my own womb. Moving into a place of healing, acceptance, and reconnection. A reclamation of the sacred yoni temple… abundant, powerful, beautiful, supported, loved.
In pilgrimage with the Ñust’as, I have started to come back home to myself and reground into the lands here in the Tweed valley. In a place of deep reverence and sacred communion, returning into the body and heart. Whole. Rooted. Safe. Supported. Loved. I’m so grateful and continuously reminded of the depth, beauty, power, and simplicity of these beautiful practices. I’m forever indebted to the Paqo’s and indigenous wisdom keepers who have shared this practices so generously.
Haywariquy offerings are my favourite practice. This is tangible prayer, walking in sacred reciprocity. I wish I could spend my life doing only this. And am grateful when I make space for and am able to share in the practice. And I know service and reciprocity comes in many forms. And while I sometimes resist the form in which service is asked, I am grateful for the opportunities and the learning that comes with each invitation.
In communion with the nature beings, the birthing of the Rose Heart Temple has come into fruition… up the hills and into the forest. A temple in nature. Unbounded by bricks and mortar. Like the elders and ancients before us. The first official community ceremony will be on Saturday, 21 June in honour of the Summer Solstice.
Plant Alchemy
With all the warmth and sunshine, the flowers have been blooming earlier and more fully. I can feel the stress of the plants and now the breath with the rain. It has been a foraging abundance, and have been a bit off schedule with so many plants blossoming early. Hawthorn is one of my absolute favourite plants. A sister of the rose, she is great heart medicine… potent and gentle. Her sweet little pink and white blossoms have been sprinkling the earth as she reaches her potency.
I’ve been busy with herbal crafting, medicine making, and beauty alchemy. I’m having so much fun intuiting and experimenting with new combinations, essential oils, and essences. So much energy and love has gone into making these beautiful and potent products. The evolution of the product line continues to shift, as well as the direction of the apothecary vision. What remains true is my love for plant craft and alchemy.
I hope to see you at one of the pop-ups, and will have products available for purchase online, soon. If you are around Peebles on Saturday 31st May at 11am, please join me for a free 30 minute-ish plant journey and tea immersion at A Wee Retreat. Taking control of your wellbeing—from the inside out and outside in
I’ve been dealing with severe autoimmune symptoms since 2012, and in looking back at my health journey I know it started long before then. What triggered the response was mold and tick exposure, combined with life stressors and viral infections. In 2018 a blood test also revealed toxic levels of xylene in my blood (still don’t know the source).
Fatigue, joint pain and hyper mobility, hair loss, all over body pain, brain fog, swollen lymph nodes, lung struggles, chemical and food sensitivities… the list goes on.
About 3.5 years ago I started using the LifeWave® patches. I was skeptical when initially hearing about, and a dear friend and colleague with similar medical struggles was using them with success. I decided to order after 3 months of research and contemplation. I ordered them sometime either just before or while I had C-virus for the first time. After 10 days of isolation and many supplements, I was still exhausted, could barely walk up the stairs, no sense of smell/taste. I was getting ready to go to work and was thinking I didn’t know how I was going to get through the day. That morning my DHL package with my patches arrived, which was a miracle in itself as usually deliveries are after I leave for work. I put the x39 patch on at the base of my neck, and immediately felt energetic movement in my spine. That day I had energy for the first time and made it through my whole day of work.
These patches have changed my life!
All symptoms have improved from increased energy, focus, less pain, increased lung capacity, hair growth, improved skin texture and firmness, better sleep, more balanced hormones. The list goes on!! And I love the patches for acute conditions. This was the first year I have not had a full-blown cold, flu, or autoimmune flare!!!
Aimee and I will be selling samples at the upcoming pop-up events and available to answer questions about the patches. To learn more about the Life Wave patches, order sample patches, and/or sign-up for the Zoom information call on Sunday, 15 June 2025 4.30-5.30pm: https://www.embodiedrose.com/life-wave-patches
